Santuario Sul Brazil Gesha Varietal
I bought this coffee at the Roastery a few days ago, July 13, 2020. A partner whom I spoke with says that it’s been out since about June 24, 2020, but that doesn’t make sense to me because I think I would have seen it sooner. Maybe I missed it. In any event, this new coffee is a Gesha varietal, making it rare and expensive. I assume it will have a limited release. A bag of it retails for $40.
Starbucks has offered only a limited number of Gesha coffees: One of the earlier offerings was this 2012 Costa Rica Gesha coffee. (The new standard is to spell Gesha without the “I” in it. All of the previous Starbucks coffees of this type were called Geisha coffees.)
