A Brief History
StarbucksMelody began as one happy-go-lucky website all about Starbucks, born in September 2009. I decided to start writing about Starbucks because I experienced all kinds of new things in that era of Starbucks rapid change from about 2008 - 2012: Concept stores like 15th Avenue Coffee and Tea came and went. In 2009, Starbucks opened up Roy Street Coffee and Tea. The concept of an Evenings, "beer and wine" store was new in this era, with the grand re-opening of the East Olive Way Starbucks in 2010. MyStarbucksIdea.com was brand new in March of 2008. I live in the heart of it all. I figured why not write about it?
(Note that these concepts stores are now long since gone).
The blog grew. Readers grew. Now thousands of people regularly read StarbucksMelody.com.
And from that blogging experience, I was inspired to produce a couple more smaller, niche blogs.
This website is DiscoverStarbucksReserve.com which tracks all the coffees released at the Seattle Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room, since its opening in December 2014, which have a Reserve taster card. This site is intended to be a place to track your U.S. collection of taster cards as well as a place for coffee education.
