Cape Verde Fogo Island
On February 27, 2017, I noticed a new coffee at the Roastery. It appeared in Flavorlock packaging and at the scoop bar. (It may have actually showed up on the 26th but I don't think I dropped by the Roastery on the 16th).
I knew this coffee was coming. On the 15th of February, I saw the burlap sacks at the Green Coffee Loading Pit. Notice that they have a Siren on the burlap sacks!
This coffee is coming nationally in March to select Starbucks locations offering Reserve coffees. Look for this coffee only at larger Starbucks stores that typically sell and offer a lot of Reserve coffee (such at East Olive Way Starbucks) or at Reserve Bar locations.
The artwork on the card was inspired by the origin's unique geology. The entire island is a highly active stratovolcano that is monitored regularly by geologists and seismologists. The artwork is a reference to seismic mapping techniques and data visualizations.
