Panama Carmen Estate - November 2017
Starbucks has released Panama Carmen Estate again. It was available earlier this year at the Roastery, and at that time it was not a national release. This new launch of Panama Carmen Estate is slated to be a national release coffee, coming to Starbucks locations in the United States which offer Reserve coffees.
Starbucks describes Panama Carmen Estate as having "Floral and lemon citrus notes with praline sweetness."
This coffee arrived at the Roastery during the last week of November.
I always think it's fun when you can see more to the coffee than just the card. I dropped by the Roastery on December 1, 2017, and caught Myra loading it into the Green Coffee Loading Pit. So here you can see the burlap sack it comes in and what the green coffee looks like. That's one fun aspect of the Roastery is that you may see your coffee in every stage from green bean to your coffee cup ready to drink!
It should be noted for those who collect these tasting cards, there are TWO different versions of this card. There's a version dated 2017, shown here, which includes geography, varietal, and processing information, and a 2015 version of the same card, shown here.
