This coffee appeared at the Roastery in Flavorlock packaging on June 6, 2016.
This coffee is sourced from the same coffee cooperative in East Timor that brought us an East Timor peaberry coffee earlier in the year. Starbucks partnered with the largest estate of the cooperative, working with them to set aside some of their harvest to dry naturally in the sun.
The coffee is described as having notes of pineapple and black cherry with a lingering sweetness. I'm hearing wonderful things about this coffee from those who have tried it!
East Timor Red is a certified organic coffee. It's roasted in the roasted for nearly 12 full minutes, making it just slightly darker than many Reserve coffees.
Edit on June 26, 2016: I just made this as a cold brew coffee for home - wonderful! This coffee is great both hot or iced!
